Day 00a

(…) still in athens – Adults and vaccinated, registered and travelers. Our dates are taking shape, our “deniers” pay our visas. Dollars must be – at least – “generation alpha”.
I need rubber boots. I hope for happy tropics. The Google images are rainy, the sea is agitated, and the sand is sown with plastics. Maybe, plastic tropics.
“At the same time as it transports you thousands of kilometers, travel also makes you climb or descend a few degrees on the social ladder. It moves you, but also it reclassifies you – for better or for worse – and the color and flavor of places cannot be dissociated from the always unexpected rank where it places you to experience them.” – Claude Lévi-Strauss – “Tristes Tropiques” (1955).
I stop waiting – anyway, everything is here – everything is already there.
Passport photos and medications. Google images are definitely sad. Antihistamine, Painkiller, Blood thinner, mosquito repellent.
For now, this trip is a massive to-do list.
